Catnip has quite the reputation with cats, but did you know that according to scientists, only 50% of cats are susceptible to its influence. Rom was not part of that 50%, which made it nearly impossible to ‘calm him’ to go to the Vet.
The good news is that catnip is 10 x more effective than DEET as an insect deterrent, but is not harmful to your cat.

Pinterest. Actually, I have nine boards which I collect ideas on, primarily to inspire novels, but I also have one called ‘cat humor’ which is good for laughs. Most of the infographics are saved under ‘project ideas’ – not all end up on the blog 😉

It is great to know where the original source of things found on Pinterest is – the infographic said http://catnipsum.com, but I never found it on that site.

Thanks so much for posting and letting Marc repost it. I don’t have cats anymore, but mine loved it when I gave it over.

Nancy, how wonderful that you found the precise link! Thank you.
Marc tells me that I am the ‘queen of info-graphics’, at least as the ones that pertain to cats and dogs and I told him I found them on Pinterest and he was welcome to repost any he liked.

I love them, too. Which is why I post so many of them. I even printed out a couple of the ones about medication, treatments and dosages to put in the pet first aid kit. And, to be honest, I blogged about how to make a pet first aid kit.

I am glad that you felt the same way about this as I did. Prior to posting that, I hadn’t realized how amazing catnip was.
