In March, the plan was for both Purrseidon and Saphera to test Orijen Tundra Freeze-Dried Treats, which are marketed for both cats and dogs.
However, in March, that contrary cat refused to cooperate for anything beside unpacking of the box. She then claimed the box and ignored the taste test. Saphera loved the treats…
Now that it is Apri – and Purrseidon is not expected to test the Orijen treats – she has begged for them twice! Like I said, she is a very contrary cat.
Saphera is not happy about sharing these treats, but I can verify that both cats and one dog love them.
The 3rd Tuesday of each month, Golden Woofs and Oz the Terrier co-host Chewy.com Blog Hop – if you’re interested in reading the honest opinion of other pets, you can read more here.
Customers are always asking me about Orijen. We don’t have it, but now that I know what it is, maybe I can help them a bit more. And I always here about how cats are so fickle!

Fickle is a good word for Purrseidon. She is very smart and fun, but she also likes to do things her way, so when having her test the treats was our plan, she didn’t cooperate …. we tried telling her cats don’t like water – she disagrees with that idea, too.
Frankly, I was very surprised when she changed her mind and asked for those treats instead of the sweet potato ones…. when she made the request for the 3rd time, I realized I needed to post a 2nd blog on the treats.

I bought the treats for Storm once, she loved them! 🙂 They are a bit spendy though.

Yes, they are pricy, but imho, if the pet deserves a treat for good behavior, etc. it’s worth the expense. Of course, if pet parents give out a lot of treats, this could quickly add up. We don’t, so it isn’t too bad.

That is certainly the truth!

Purrseidon probably sees herself not as contrary, but as an independent thinker. Her free spirit is admirable.
I agree animals who deserve treats deserve excellent quality treats, but I’ve been forced to accept that a dog’s concept of “excellent quality” has no relationship to their human’s. To the dogs we love, cat poop is an excellent treat. smh

I’ve also noticed that dogs do not seem to have a discriminating sense of taste.
