Bird Age Chart


Despite the fact that it is heartbreaking to lose a pet due to age, if you adopt certain birds, there is a very serious possibility that they will outlive you. Macaws top the list with the possibility of living a century… Obviously, the list below doesn’t take hunting, etc. into account, because when we lived in Panama, we were told that Scarlet Macaws were native to the area, but we only saw one, which had escaped its cage… Apparently, they are delicious, plus their feathers were beautiful decorations, so they were hunted to near extinction in that particular area.
