Meet Georgie

I initially discovered Georgie on Pinterest,. Her photo included a link to Bored Panda which tells the story of “A couple took the plunge, sold all of their belongings, bought a boat, and have been living the dream since August 12, 2011.” Unfortunately, there are only a few photos of Georgie – and the ones where she is soaking wet from a fall overboard are sort of pitiful…. obviously, Georgie loves sailing, but not the getting wet part, which is probably a good thing for a boat cat. Since my biggest fear is that if we took Purrseidon sailing, she would jump ship and we’d never find her. Go to Bored Panda for lots more photos and the rest of the story.

Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. You can always find out what she is working on and/or contact her at:

    1. That is lucky! Years ago, we were sailing in the Chesapeake & planned to visit a small island, but another cruiser told us that if we went there, we should take a dog … Come to find out, there were/are a lot of feral cats on that island and when the other guy had gone there, some feral cats had gotten into his boat and torn up a lot of stuff.
