11 Healthy Treats for your Pet

Anjali Praserfong wrote a good blog on this topic and her information is good for both cats and dogs (humans and birds, too). Purrseidon LOVES cucumber slices, so I wasn’t surprised to see them on her list of 11 Healthy Treats for your Pet. Anjali lists

  1. Carrots
  2. Asparagus
  3. Celery
  4. Zucchini
  5. Green bell peppers
  6. Cucumber
  7. Broccoli
  8. Blueberries
  9. Watermelon
  10. Peaches
  11. Strawberries

And adds that cats should only get the veggies, while the fruits are fine for dogs. The info-graphic below says melons and bananas are fine for cats.

Our current interest in healthy veggie and fruit treats is based on Saphera’s diet… while she is not pleased about green beans being added and carbs being removed, she is starting to move better.

She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. 1. Saphera and Purrseidon have been known to fight over slices that fell off the counter…. I’m not all that fond of them, so I do not understand their obsession…. Belle and Rom had a huge fight over a cantaloupe rind & I had no idea that either of them loved melon that much.
