Liebster Award: Getting To Know Me Better

liebsteraward.png

I was nominated by Deziz World blog fur da Liebster Award. Thank you, Dezi, Raena and Audra, I am honored. As with everything in life, there are rules to follow:

1. Thank the person what nominated you.

2. Answer 11 questions.

3. Compose 11 questions.

4. Nominate and notify new blogs.

5. Post the Award Badge and Rules.

Now, to the questions I need to answer:

1. Do you have interests that keep you busy, but that you don’t blog about?

Absolutely!

2. Be Honest: Do you read long posts from beginning to end? Or do you quickly skim through the post, scroll to the end and hit the Like button?

That depends on how hectic my schedule is. If I am interested in the topic and have the time, I take my time enjoying the blog, but sometimes, I need to ‘bookmark’ it to read later... there are also some blogs what I speed-read. 28b2addc669ea3ef79f7bff0cbe60309

3. Do you prefer to read the book or watch the movie?

Nine times out of ten, I think the book is better, so I mainly read books.

4. When making decisions, do you go by gut feeling or reason?

I rely on intuition, but will modify my reaction with reason/logic.

5. Do you still send hand-written letters or cards, or do you send emails and whatsapp?

Any letters I send are typed (trust me, the recipients are better off). Prior to moving aboard EvenStar and embarking on our sailing years, I discovered cyber cards, and once we left the USA, I learned to rely on them because foreign postal systems were difficult to find, very expensive, and in some situations, unreliable…. I haven’t sent a ‘snail-mail’ card in years.

6. If you could go on a time travel for the day, to where and when would you go?

I haven’t a clue, since I’m perfectly content when/where I am.

7. Do you know any poems by heart?

Do nursery rhymes count? unnamed-2

8. Which conspiracy theory do you like best or think is weirdest?

I tend to focus on facts, and don’t really follow conspiracy theories, but IMHO the current one about Russia hacking the election so Trump could win is silly…. and whoever designed this jpg is correct.

9. Imagine there’s suddenly no power for 3 months. Would you be prepared?

No problem. We lived aboard EvenStar, which didn’t have power, for years.dsc00035

10. What’s your favorite Music and Movie Genre?

It is easier to say that I dislike Rap and Horror than to try and figure out what my favorites are, since those can change with my mood and/or the situation.

11. Are you a night owl or are you up with the lark?

Definitely an owl.

Now, for my nominees:

Kosmo & his human mom, Kristina, who live in Finland and share beautiful photos of their homeland.

Cat-a-bliss, blog-home of amazing catnip blends… since starting to use these, Mr. M ignores his arthritic paws and even climbs trees.

Bailey Boat Cat, a Siamese, who reminds me of my beloved Rom (Xander de Hunter’s character is based on Rom).

Comedy Plus is a blog you don’t want to miss, if you like humor.

Shadow the kayaking cat, who lives in an RV.  2f3460fed250a38643fd9fb7a1b172fc

Kitty Savannah gives a voice for adult shelter cats and homeless foster cats and other companion animals who do not have anyone to speak for them.

Sabina Ayne, Toby’s Wrecking Crew – ‘crazy cats and the slightly offbeat mom’.

Three Chatty Cats features cat rescue groups and their life-saving efforts.

Adventures in Cheeseland: possibly the only wordpress blog hosted by mice.

This list is in no way complete, I would have nominated many of the same people that Dezi’s World did, so if you were nominated by them, the reason you aren’t listed is because you were already nominated. I hope you’ll accept your nomination.

Since I’m in the midst of holiday chaos, I am going to save time by giving you the same eleven questions I answered:

1. Do you have interests that keep you busy, but that you don’t blog about?

2. Be Honest: Do you read long posts from beginning to end? Or do you quickly skim through the post, scroll to the end and hit the Like button? img_0555

    1. I thought that Putin meme was not only fun, it expressed how silly some people are being. Hope you had a great Christmas!
I figure that you know I would have nominated you, if A., D., & R hadn’t beaten me.

      1. Living without power isn’t bad – just different. On Christmas night, the transformer in our neighborhood blew, so we were without power for about 4 hours… We’d been watching a Christmas movie, but simply shrugged, got out the candles and a board game and continued on…. A neighbor was over a few minutes ago and said what a horrible time those 4 hours were. They should have come over here – we only paid attention long enough to grab the candles and choose a game.

      3. MeOWwww We’ve never heard of dat. Mommy grew up in a house dat didn’t play games. She played her furst ever board game when she was in girl scouts as a teenager. It’s kinda one of those things you grow up doin’ or not and continue as an adult. Glad ya’ll can enjoy them.

      4. Mommy was a tomboy and played outside with da animals and strays she came across. In da summers, her mommy would send her outside early and tell her not to come in till dinnertime. She luvved playin’ with da horney toads and lizards. And there was a few neighborhood doggies she played with too.

    1. My email and even Workpress (host of my blog) have been sluggish ever since Obama gave the UN the right to ‘police’ our internet. Don’t know if they are the cause or if this is coincidence.
