Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. You can always find out what she is working on and/or contact her at:

      1. Bernese (Berner Sennenhund) is the black version of the St. Bernard dog 😀
A mountain working dog from Switzerland and Alps, 4 breeds (i.e. Greater Swiss, Bernese, Appenzeller Sennenhund and Entlebucher). I love the Bernese breed ❤ ❤ ❤

      2. Yes, Alps are a very beautiful place if you like high mountains. But I prefer the countryside, the islands in the middle of the ocean and the lakes 😀
When the sky is blue, from this big city windows, northwards you can see the Alps, full of snow, in the distance (about 50-60 km.) 😀

      3. I have heard that here, in Florida, they have begun mining some of the hills of rubbish for recyclable material, but don’t know how valid the rumor is. IMHO, burning rubbish for power and heat is very smart.

      4. Here in the north, we have recycling garbage (paper, glass, wood, alluminium, compost, plastic) and burned rubbish to produce electric energy and heat 🙂
With a personalized pick-up service (door to door, very expensive, to tell the truth!), 4 times a week!
Rubbish hills are rare, and only for some type of rubbish.

      5. We pay about $10/month for trash pickup. Every week we divide our trash into regular garbage, yard waste (a.k.a. compost) and recyclables, which includes glass, plastic, paper and metal. I hear the company actually makes money on the recyclables.

      6. Actually, it’s 9-something, but for the budget, I say $10. Apparently, Waste Management makes money off the trash. I think I heard that their trucks even operate on methane, which is produced by trash, though I’ve never actually thought about this topic quite as much as I have in this series of comments.
