Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores.       2. Some beaches in our area have been suffering from red tide…. we’ve been avoiding our beaches. You’re so very lucky to be able to stroll your prom.

      4. Karenia brevis (a.k.a. K brevis and/or Red Tide) is a microscopic, single-celled, photosynthetic organism that is part of the Karenia genus, a marine dinoflagellate … it is poisonous to sea creatures. It also crates breathing problems or even death, if ingested, in ‘land creatures’…. It’s best avoided.

      7. About twenty years ago we had a lethal algae on Poole Park lake which was toxic to dogs. The experts believed if they covered it with straw, it would become waterlogged, sink and die. It didn’t and they had a terrible job on their hands to clear it.

      8. As I said, this began in the Gulf of Mexico after BP;s oil spill. Don’t know if the Gulf is stall affected or not, but apparently the toxic mess has managed to migrate via Gulf Stream into the Atlantic Ocean to poison our beaches… it smells AWFUL! Last week my husband and I went over to our favorite park, which is generally jam-packed… We saw 2 other vehicles – 1 was leaving and the other belonged to the park ranger.     1. LOL. I once saw a gray one scurrying down the road – bits of black plaint added whiskers, ears and a nose + a tall antenna on the back added a tail to that mouse 😉 Bet that was fun to drive around in.
