Though Jeanne began her career technical writing, her love of romantic-suspense, whether it be present, future or in an unknown galaxy inspired her to write the novels she wanted to find in bookstores. Since marrying, Jeanne and her husband have lived from the arctic to the tropics, as well as from yacht to off-grid mountain home. She loves using vivid colors and flowing shapes in her oil paintings as well as creating edible landscapes. At present, she is finishing writing the Chatterre Trilogy and working on a new episode for The Sea Purrtector Files. You can always find out what she is working on and/or contact her at:

      1. Love the film Up!
We don’t have many where we live now, but where we were before and also on the marina there were several. Maggie rolled one once and got a nip or claw across the nose for her trouble. She usually doesn’t bother, nor with the geese or ducks in the park. Now a peasant or ptarmigan in the undergrowth and she won’t rest until she’s ‘lifted it’ and it’s flying away.

      2. We have quite a few squirrels in our area (loads of oak trees, too). Every winter, ‘snow birds’ descend on our area and increase our population by about half… they also seem to love going to parks and feeding squirrels, so there are generally lots of baby squirrels in the spring, but the ‘snow birds’ have gone home by then, so the squirrels get very aggressive…. and poor Purr is convinced they’d eat a cat if given half a chance…. She might be right.
For certain, squirrels are about the only thing she seems terrified of.

      2. It’s usually summer here on Florida’s Space Coast (if you aren’t familiar with Florida, Kennedy Space Center is about halfway down Florida’s Atlantic shore, so the general area is called the Space Coast.
90 here as a high, today.
