These are the stories that truly show the inner compassion to a friend. A responsibility that we have to friends.
Thanks, Foguth for your great site.

How absolutely wonderful, and such dedication to his dog, who is equally amazing in her response and learning so quickly. I confess I teared up………..

I thought he was an amazing person… from what I’ve observed, it’s more typical to have a pet ‘put down’ when they get a serious health issue.

Yes. The guy who recommended the vet we changed to was advised to have his dog put to sleep as it had liver problems. He went to this other vet, and after a few months of treatment, the dog is in good health and enjoying life. We are certainly glad we changed.

Whoever HALO uses as a vet said Katsu’s eye issue was viral and contagious … We thought the kids’ choice would make a lot of problems, due to need of quarantine, etc…. Took him to our vet and she did tests, etc…. His cornea had been scratched – probably before his eyes were even properly open. It was a major relief to get a proper diagnosis … Obviously, I agree that ‘not all vets are equal’.

Always pays to get a second opinion. We did with Maggie’s mammary strip in 2015 and changed vets to one who was ‘old school’ and let us stay with her as he understood MY anxiety too!

Old school is often much better.

Certainly as far as we’re concerned, and our new vet here (well 17 miles away) is also old school, dog first, then owners. Hubby has asked for a ‘shot’ for me on more than one occasion!
