Purina Pro Plan Dog Food

13689361_10206713232165450_1854439516_nSaphera loved Purina Pro Plan Savor Adult Shredded Blend Chicken & Rice Formula Dry Dog Food  which is made in the USA and so did Purrseidon. In fact, they both loved the crunchy kibble so much we used it as treats because Saphera is on a diet and we are limiting other forms of treats. Mr. M gave it a sniff, but wasn’t interested in participating in the taste test. (Bizarre, since he is the one who normally loves chicken… He is turning into a grumpy old tom.)13689558_10206713231845442_1813457966_n

The only thing I did not like was the packaging. The bag does not have a zip seal and being plastic it would not reroll. It required scissors to get open. Having a storage container for this food would be advised.

Saphera gets so excited when fed she turns into a blur, which is why you are seeing cats in a  dog food review. Purina Pro Plan Savor Adult Shredded Blend Chicken & Rice Formula Dry Dog Food doesn’t have any artificial preservatives and chicken is listed 13695185_10206713229045372_1922541213_n (1)as its first ingredient. It is an excellent source of vitamin A for healthy coats and skin as well as prebiotic fiber for an added boost to the digestive system, which is something we were very interested in, since we want Saphera to have a healthy diet, as she slims and this protein-to-fat ratio should help her body keep fit. Four paws up from both Saphera and Purrseidon and one thumb up for me, due to the uncooperative bag.

Chewy.com stocks Purina’s Pro Plan in many flavors to include supplements and canned food. Best of all, if you order more than $49 worth, they will give you free shipping and deliver the chow to your door in 1-2 days! I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of wrestling a big bag of kibble into the buggy, then from the buggy to the car, then car to house…

I plan to see if Purina makes a similar cat food, as I am searching for a dry one the cats purrfer and I also want to make sure the nutritional balance is good for cats.

Sunday Selfies — Purrseidon

Dear Furiends, I was so upset with my staff’s highhandedness, that I nearly forgot it was Sunday. Would you believe that when I requested that they put water in the tub, they had the nerve to give me a shower!?! I did NOT want a shower! I wanted a bath! My sisfur had just […]

Wordless Wednesday

P1160190

In light of comments made by both Purrseidon & Mr. M in previous posts, they are not speaking to each other…. Purrseidon seems to be holding a grudge about being caught with her head in a certain catnip bag, while Mr. M is trying to maintain his dignity… It’s probably not wise to bring up a certain over-indulgence …

Wordless Wednesday

mousetrapGAME.jpg

(Once Purrseidon realized ‘that Holstein tom’ was really moving, she was magnanimous enough to play hostess at a farewell party… Mr. M looks like he expects something sinister to happen, so he’s ready to duck under the table and Purrseidon is still keeping on eye on ‘the interloper’, who has his eyes on the ultimate prize – wet cat food.  They are wagering  Cat-a-bliss blends & dry food.)

There is a hint in the photo about the answer to the question asked in Monday’s post – ‘what was in Mr. M and Purrseidon’s box this month‘ — the answer is NOT the mousetrap game, they borrowed that from Master Munchkin. Can you guess what one of this month’s reviews will be about?

Sunday Selfies

P1160313.JPGFuriends, today I have a treat for you >^.^< Not only did I sit down and focus on my own selfie, but I convinced my furily to do them, too! Granted, Saphera was a bit close to the camera, but aren’t her eyes lovely?

The old guy said he’d only do a selfie if he could stay in his latest box. I told M that photos of cats in boxes, was common and he should do something exciting, like climb on top of the rafter … His response was, “Been there, done that, got the photo in the blog…. this box is purrfect and I’m not leaving.” So, my furiends, not only do you get a selfie of the grumpy old man, you get a box selfie:

Cat-a-bliss Order #2

Mr. M, who still hasn’t found his silvervine stick, is keeping an eye on Purrseidon. I talked to Kiara (Cat-a-bliss’ owner), who told me that many people are ordering the tester kits just for the fun of seeing their cats open their mail. (Who knew that many people read my posts on that topic!) Do you think the […]
