This info-graphic lists the ten most expensive cat and dog breeds – the cost is based on the breed’s susceptibility to certain genetic problems. This information was compiled by a pet insurance company, so it also gives you insight into what insurance companies look at.

I thought it was an interesting info-graphic, but wonder if these costs are the same everywhere.

Very interesting. I have always wanted a Siamese, the ones I see on blogs are aged 17-20 so I didn’t realize they had so many issues.

Rom was Siamese and a great cat (even a better writer’s muse than Mr. M, but don’t tell him I said so!). He had good health for 15 years, then developed many issues until he passed at 16.5.

I didn’t realize Bengals were so high up the list. I definitely need to get Ophelia into the vet about her weight loss!

Marc, I’m assuming you mean Marcha’s page – she is one of my favorite sci-fi authors. While she has no cats, she has Thyron, who is the very best sentient plant I’ve ever encountered. If you choose one of her books, I recommend The Sapheran Agenda, since it is Thyron’s story, but the best value is her box set.

Yep! I clicked through from her name by accident while I read the comments and was like omg I need to read those LOL

I highly recommend her books 😉 She has a degree in Physics and worked for NASA for decades, so when she writes sci-fi, it is based on science.

Amazon uk can be awkward at times which is why I also have an Amazon US account on my aunts home address and a German account on my sisters address ;o
On this occasion it was luckily not necessary to go through the hassle of desynchronising and switching accounts on my kindle. Entire collection purchased. 😀

I think you’ll enjoy the series… btw, Marcha is ‘owned’ by two bengals plus she supports several ferral cats.

Oh! Is this your friend with the bengals you were going to ask if they like water? 😮

I did ask her and she said they were house cats, so she had never taken them swimming… Ehem, until Purrseidon, I had not considered this, either. She also said that she would buy them a kiddy wading pool and see if they liked that. Unfortunately, it is too cold there, now.

Oliver seems to enjoy the cold time of the year but probably only because it means he gets to sleep on the radiator 😉
